WHO IS THE HOUSE OF STYLE?
Call it an interest, hobby, aptitude, work, profession or talent ... I call it passion! Passion for your particular daily activities in surroundings you can feel at home in and where you can be yourself. Inspired by more than 20 years work experience built up in extremely varied work settings such as hotels - both in Switzerland and abroad -restaurants, museums, multinationals, government buildings, party catering venues, shops, recruitment agencies, home offices, airports, ports, banks, theatres, and more.
Creating a lovely living and/or working space, as well as the right ambience of your event is my passion.
Underpinning this passion is my training at Hotel School, supplemented with various specialised courses, as well as a course at The International Academy Of Interior Design. I am a qualified interior designer, interior stylist, homestager and Master of Interior Design. My name is Annette van Amerongen and I am The House Of Style.
HOW DOES THE HOUSE OF STYLE WORK?
Our modus operandi to our services can largely be classified into the following:
CONCEPT CREATION:
Having inventoried your wishesduring a one-on-one chat we convert your needs into a concept and step-by-step plan, supplemented with a clear quotation.
DESIGN:
A design is formulated based on your choice of concept and is subsequently presented and explained to you.
EXECUTION:
Should your choice be a design by The House Of Style a subsequent execution strategy is determined upon consultation. You can either opt to carry out the work yourself, or to utilise the services of The House Of Style and/or one of their expert partners.

HOME SHOPPING ADVICE
Are you about ready for a new interior look or piece of furniture? If so you'll most likely head out to the shops on a Saturday until you have found
the closest to what you're looking for; yet return home -> not entirely satisfied. You've wasted your Saturday, whilst you hate shopping ... sound familiar? .... have The House Of Style work for you. You indicate what you are looking for - aided by a magazine clipping, or photos of your current interior - and The House Of Style will go on the hunt for you; at places over and above the usual furniture stores too. You'll be given shopping advice, this facilitating an easy, quick acquisition on your part. The House Of Style can also accompany you as your Personal Shopper. Should you have no idea at all what you're looking for, we will think along with you. We are glad to provide you with extra information on what's out there.
HOMESTAGING
Regarding your homeas a potential buyer isn't easy. All sorts of emotions come into play; haven't you spent many enjoyable years in your home? A homestager will look at your house objectively and will strive to make it ready to be placed on the market, to the largest target audience possible, on a minimum budget. Homestaging goes that step further than simply shifting furniture around, tidying up and placing a bunch of flowers on the coffee table. The House Of Style is trained in homestaging and can help you both in terms of advice and execution.
